Their custom made hinged secondary windows proved to be an ideal solution to the problem of installing secondary glazing in a period property with a minimum of disruption (and no need for planning permission).

It was also important that we could close the original wooden shutters which was accommodated. Most importantly we've appreciated the excellent workmanship, particularly Russell's attention to detail and perfectionism. He has been very aware of the need to preserve the period features of the house while upgrading and modernising it. He's been very good at working out what we wanted - even when we weren't sure - and listening to what was important to us. We haven't taken any of this for granted. Neither have we taken the improvements to the house for granted. We still look at the stars through the cupola, enjoy opening windows, and admire new bathrooms and mains pressure when we turn on the taps. The curved skirting board in the utility room is a work of art and we show it to all our visitors. Practically the house works - it's hard to know how to explain that further, but it's such a contrast to the old version of the house where things weren't convenient and didn't fit together in the way that they do now.
